Serenity in white makes me drown into the past and drift away into childhood. Childhood, perhaps the most interesting and memorable period of life. I can relate to my childhood actions and behaviour better now after years as I understand life after having seen it so closely.

Brightest Moon 30th January 2010
The Moon was as bright as the Sun on 30th January 2010. It was a magnificent sight as the Moon shone like a beautiful Star and the silver moonshine enveloped it to light up the dark skies.

A Sweet Gesture
Our life is a little disoriented these days as our kitchen is under renovation. We are literally living out of a tray for the last five weeks. Cooking happens in the morning and lunch is stored for the afternoon. The carpenters take over the kitchen from 10 am and hand it over to us by 7 pm. Emptying the kitchen is a mammoth task. We have then been surviving with limited resources as major utensils have been neatly packed. We generally do not have too many guests visiting us but these weeks have been very socially bustling for us. So it has been tough and tough are we not!! This morning Rashmi aunty was on her routine walk with her friend from Germany. Must add here how much I admire her for being so regular with her morning and evening walks. I even hold great admiration fro my mother who too is very regular with her exercise regime. So going back to Rashmi aunty. Mum and I were sitting in the porch when Rashmi aunty walked up and said she would be visiting us as soon as she finishes her walk. And she mentioned just one cup of tea and no snacks with it. I sheepishly admitted that tea was difficult to get as we do not have access to the kitchen till late evening. But nevertheless they were most welcome to come over. Rashmi aunty and her friend came over after fifteen minutes and mummy and I just could not believe that aunty was carrying tea for us. What lovely guests who bring tea with them. We all sipped a nice hot cup of tea and while leaving Rashmi aunty filled our flask with tea for the evening too. That was so touching and an absolutely caring gesture that we can never forget.

Give & Take – Money Makes Relationships Turns Sour
Money runs the world and determines the status of the population of the world. It augments the wealth, stature and lifestyle with its abundance and deprives one of the very means of existence with its shortage. Money also rules the status of relationships between people at times. I have witnessed many relationships turning sour due to this material possession of prime priority. Relatives and friends get along well till there is a need for money and a request for borrowing is placed amongst them. There are many individuals who value relationships to money and are willing to return the loaned amount well in time. But there is a majority of population who value money more than relationships. There is bitterness in them when they are asked to return the borrowed sum of money. The lender is made to feel guilty when he wants the money to be returned to him in the time of his need. His need is termed as flimsy and false by the borrower in an aim to avoid returning the funds. This causes a rift in the relationship and relatives and friends turn enemies for life. My conclusion from observing several such incidents is that lending money to a relative implies creating reason for severing of relationship with him/her as there is bound to be a heated altercation when money loaned by a relative is expected to be returned by the borrower. The relative has only two options – either refuse to lend or lend and forget and feel lucky if the money is returned without asking for it.
What Life Offers
Life is passing by and I look back to count my achievements. There may be academic and related successes to talk about but I do not see adequate number of spiritual gains. I am a strong believer in God but I have not done much for his children. I have tried to help the needy as and when I could but I still feel I could have done better. I do not shirk my responsibilities and am always there for my family. God has a larger family and I do wish to contribute a little more to help His family. There are times when we boast of our accomplishments and gains but we generally do not have much to add to our contributions to the world of the needy and helpless. We do not have the time for giving back to the world what we have gained from it.

Tailor Bird's Nest An Unusual Art Form

We were amazed to see this nest made by a tailor bird. The bird had brought just the right woollen thread that it sew through a green leaf to make a secure conical nest for its eggs. Each stitch was so neat and of great precision to not puncture the leaf. The nest was sewn with the support of the leaf and hidden behind the branch of the small plant. This was talent that noone will notice but is worth appreciating as well as imbibing. This was a piece of art to be preserved. The stitches were so fine that the leaf did not lose its freshness or softness for months even after the little fledglings flew out of the nest. I had tried my hand at stitching and did not find it easy hence seeing this nest made me sheepish for not being able to learn sewing.

Relative Distances
As I look up to the sky from the windscreen of my car, I spot a tiny plane floating by amidst the grey clouds. I get reminded of the tiny cars viewed from the mammoth Airbus gliding past the mighty clouds. Some may call this the theory of relativity....
I wear my thinking hat and see that things look distant when we are further away from them. We can never know the reality without being involved or without seeing a situation closely. It is unfair to pronounce a decision about anything without knowing the complete facts. And many of us do so assuming that we are the greatest experts in the world !!!

Divine Beauty
This bird has been painted so artistically by God; seems it is His favourite creature on Earth. The colour scheme and colours have been chosen with great patience to accentuate the divine beauty of the bird by extreme precision in juxtapositioning them in the feathers.

Macrame Friendship Bands
I have tried to make some friendship bands with macrame and other knot styles using crochet skeins of different colours. It is a good pastime as it is creative and enjoyable too.
